Dystopian novel comes to nostalgic life
Steven Spielberg is back at it again with a cinematic adaptation of the 2011 novel, Ready Player One, by author Ernest Cline. The film will star Tye Sheridan (X-Men: Apocalypse) as Wade Watts, a teen in a futuristic waste land, that escapes his harsh reality by going in to, OASIS, a virtual reality world where anything is possible.
The film follows Wade around in this virtual world, as he goes on a quest to find three clues could possibly change his life forever. The first trailer features fun battle sequences and crazy car chases that are visually stunning. There is no doubt that Spielberg has created an incredibly beautiful world.
Tye Sheridan will star along side Olivia Cooke, Simon Pegg, T. J. Miller, Mark Rylance. The trailer for Ready Player One was released at the San Diego Comic Con. It will hit theaters March of next year.
