Oscar frustration and the dawn of new Star Wars footage

Is Andy Serkis about to earn an Oscar nomination for playing Caesar in War for the Planet of the Apes? He is if the Reel Hooligans have any say in the matter.

This week, Tim English and David Cain are joined by Chris Deffenbaugh to celebrate the life of Caesar and the future of Matt Reeves‘ career (as he moves on from Apes to directing The Batman.) Where does this reboot of Planet of the Apes rank among Hollywood’s long list of remakes and you might be surprised where the Hooligans feel this trilogy belongs in the annuls of great movie trilogies.

Plus, they’re following Disney’s live-action movie panel from D23 and they’re unveiling new goodies from Star Wars The Last Jedi and Avengers Infinity War — and Chris is all in on the one trailer rule, but does he have the self discipline? David thinks it’s all cult nonsense.
